Yay TV Licence! 1

Yesterday morning I was greeted with a fleet of these badboys; [thumb:225:l]

Awesome, court threats for not watching TV because there’s nothing ever on. I wonder if the BBC realise that they’re people out there who don’t watch TV, hence these billions of ‘guess threats’.
So, I don’t watch TV and they tell me I need to tell them that. Why should I? It’s not my responsibility to do your catching up work. Send your ‘enforcers’ round (I won’t let them in anyway).

I know! Check this; [thumb:224:l]

Have that in your database you silly people. Actually, have 30 of them :D

Until your next threatening letter, bye bye.

UK BBoy Championships 2006 0

Such a great weekend. Headed up to London early Saturday morning in time for the UK BBoy Champs in Brixton Academy. I was hoping to get loads of decent photos but my D70 was taken off me for being ‘too professional looking’. Although I did manage to get my DV camera in as one of the bag checkers mistook it for a wallet (:S) and then that was taken off me as I filmed some stuff. Press pass for next year methinks.

The first night was the poppers and solo bboys. Only popper I remember then was Salah who made it to the finals but was beaten although everyone thought he should’ve won, it was down to the judges.
Mouse from the UK won the solo bboy competition, which is a suprise because the UK never even come close to winning anything usually.

Faith FX vs DJ beatbox battle.

The second night was the lockers and the crew battles. The UK crew Bad Taste didn’t do too well (suprisingly) but S.E.X. Men, Drifters Crew and Pokemon were awesome with Pokemon and Drifters in at the final. The korean crews remind me of old school DDR :( Lilou from Pokemon was mental, apart from looking like someone from a jihad mentalist centre he put so much energy into the routines which I think tipped them to win against Drifters Crew (who I thought should’ve won).

Yeah need a less boring first post after all the lecture stuff. Anyways stuff I’m looking forward to;

7th October: 19th Birthday - Gotta pick up my pension too that day.
7th October - 9th October: UK Bboy Championships - Will be an awesome weekend featuring n3k4, Xpose, Aeiko, Skeet, Wig and JokaCola. I’ll get lots of photos ;)
25th October: DJ Shitmat and Ebola @ Exeter Cavern - Best gig in ages, not one I’m gonna miss. Brrrreakcore!
Sometime soon: Haircut - Less hair please.
Haha that’s it for this month I think, need to save money for LA.

Computer Structure 0

This lecture was about the structure of computers and computer networks and certain hardwares role interconnect with each other. Also, standards were talked about, including how they are set and what they do. Probably not the best lecture to have after a heavy weekend.

HTML tables and CSS. 0

I wasn’t too keen on learning tables as I’ve always kept as far away as possible from them because CSS is the way forward. Although I did manage to make something that resembled some boxes with colours on it, score. One assignment is to create the front page of a newspaper using css and tables. Will probably just stick with pure CSS because it’s hot. I’ll upload it once I’ve done it.

Dynamic HTML 0

General lecture on dynamic HTML with both server and client side code. Something new to me so I guess I’ll go to these practicals. Not much to write for this lecture, it was Monday morning and I can’t remember much for some reason.
