Art should raise massive questions and social change, we transcended the subway space in our own way and got someone to lie there as the public walked past. It had a powerful message to make and clearly reflects how our global societies are equally unsensible to certain events and responsibilities.
The project was a huge success, it was featured on websites such as DeviantArt.com and Wooster Collective as well as gaining over 20,000 views on Youtube.

The idea behind Angry House is to create an interactive, performance-based installation, where this notion of the ‘emotional’ house is played out. It looks like a wooden, backyard playhouse, which is designed in a ‘cute’, mini-house style, so it is attractive to children. It sits in on a manicured piece of land, surrounded by trees. It has the appearance of innocence and calm. When no one is around, the house sleeps…all is quiet, except for the wind chimes hanging above the door.

After being briefed to design an interactive game for children using Flash and Actionscript, I created a game based on the Asteroids game. You are the captain of a spaceship who has to save the world by taking out asteroids, can you do it?

I was given the oppurtunity to redesign the Student-Design website whilst working for them. The site was needed to showcase the array of work produced by designers under the company in order to promote their talents as well as having another section for the students themselves to apply for work.

Description coming soon…

Using the literal term for a map, I decided to use the street paths to spell a word; taking what was produced on street level which would mean nothing but when viewed from above it all becomes clear.

This site was designed for a charity based company called Escape who specialised in getting people onto their feet to establish themselves a better chance of employment. I quite enjoyed working on this because the client was very nice and had everything prepared when it came to developing the website. The site was built on behalf of Student-Design.

Currently in production with Aqeel Akbar, we will be projecting ‘tags’ onto (hopefully) the civic centre in Plymouth’s town centre. Using the open source technologies and ideas from the Graffiti Research Lab based in New York. We will be using laser and projection based technologies, which will hopefully roll out within the next couple of months.

Working with the Eden Project to promote their new environmental awareness campaign aimed at kids, we were briefed to develop some sort of product to promote the campaign whether it be video, image or interactive. As a group myself, Chris Garner, Matt Gardiner and Andy Hosgood decided we would make an interactive game, as well as linking the game with Facebook, using their API and promoting it via that social avenue. The project will hopefully be finished at Easter.
