As part of an iDAT project, we were briefed to create a new media company that would theoretically generate income selling some sort of service or product. Working with Dan Oliver, Chris Garner, Matt Gardiner and Andi Hossgood we realised we all have interest and experience in the web design field, so naturally we decided to go with a web design company which we aptly named Solution Web.

Kane’s position within Solution Web involves marketing the company in terms of branding, advertising and promotion; a very important role, with prime objectives of spreading our product and generating a larger client base. In addition to this, Kane also likes to lend a hand in the actual design of a site aswell as focusing on the graphical user interface.

With a long involvement in the web design scene, Kane has created and developed various websites for a large variety of clients. This alone has given him a good sense of both the design and programming fields.

The project was a great success in terms of productivity and working in a team. I felt I was able to bring my past experience and knowledge in commercial web design and apply it to the ideas and skills of the others.
