Do you Speek Geek? This website was developed as a group project with close friends to make our skills open source and available to the public by creating a large number of articles and tutorials.

Each of us coming from various and specialised areas in the world of design and technology allowed us to create varied and interesting community attracting visitors from many different fields, each being able to put forward their own views, problems and comments.

The site also doubled as an experiment for myself in two ways. One being as the site relied rather heavily on SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), I learned and practiced the various techniques in order to give the site a better chance to be highly listed for search engines, in turn drawing in more visitors. The other was creating and developing the community within the site which involved many social aspects and viral marketing which can be helpful for any large social website.

In it’s prime time the site was receiving over 2,000 unique hits a day thanks to the above methods as well as a consistent supply of articles. Unfortunately, myself and the others working on the site did not have the time to continue writing articles due to personal projects however the site is still live and still receiving a large amount of hits.
